Here’s a little sequence that I call Hatching Crow that I sometimes use in my flow classes. I don’t typically start off with this flow - I usually put it as the 3rd or 4th sequence of the class.
The long chain of Chair (Utkatasana) variations is a great way to build endurance and strengthen the lower body and core, while the twists help develop balance and stretch through the side body. The intermediary Forward Fold (Uttanasana) and Low Squat (Malasana) are simply intended to release the legs and hips. Then, moving into Crow Pose, you are fearless and ready to take flight! Allow your students to try it a few times, with no expectations. Just have fun with it!
